PM has a PhD in pure and applied chemistry and applies his analytical skills to solve the challenges related to fresh produce analysis.
His areas of work include:
- sensor deployment,
- development of stand alone optical systems,
- data modelling approaches
He has for example developed the all-in-one spectral cabinet (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.aca.2021.339235) which allows to non-destructively predict several quality attributes such as moisture, soluble solids etc. in fresh produce.
